Sakhile Hlatshwayo, best known as Killer Kau was an award-winning rapper, dancer and producer who was born in Soweto on 5th July 1998.
The young star who always had a passion for music from a young age and sang in his church choirs rose to fame in 2017 after he posted a video of himself singing Tholukuthi Hey.
The video went viral and caught the attention of DJ Euphonik who was impressed by Killer Kau’s talent, invited him to the studio and helped him record his first hit song and launch his career as a professional musician.
Despite having a very promising career, death chose to handpick Killer Kau at the peak of his youth and growth on 9th August 2021, just one month after celebrating his 23rd birthday.
The artist was on his way to a gig in Rustenburg, North West when the car he was travelling in got involved in a tragic crash that saw him and his best friend and Amapiano artist- Mpura dead as well as upcoming artists Khanya “The Voice” Hadebe, DJ Thando Tot and TD who were all travelling together.The late Killer Kau was laid to rest on 15th August 2021 in his hometown.
