Recent comments by Nota Baloyi who claimed veteran rapper Zola 7 is not well had Mzansi concerned.

According to Nota, Zola 7 is “not doing well nor is he looking good”.

He further claimed that Muthaland Entertainment label owner Lance Stehr would assist to take care of his children.

“He has seven children. Their mothers are taking care of them. He can’t even take care of himself. Lance will take care of them, as he always has!”

TshisaLIVE reports that Zola 7’s personal assistant Siki Kunene has said Nota’s comments were not correct.

“All those things he said are utter rubbish. He’s just trying to create hype over nothing. The truth is Bonginkosi is fine. He’s got epilepsy. He is taking chronic medication for it.”

The publication reports that Lance said he was saddened to hear about Zola 7’s conditions but refused further comment on Nota’s claims.

Sometime last year Zola 7, real name, Bonginkosi Dlamini opened up about epilepsy after rumours about his death had gone viral.

The Kwaito star told the Daily Sun that he was well and that he often faints because of the illness and he is not dead.

Zola 7 revealed that he sometimes passes out for five minutes adding that the longest time he passed out was two days.

He suggested that an epilepsy campaign should be created so that people are well-informed about the illness.

“I am not well and it is true that epilepsy is very hectic and you need to learn about it. I faint most of the times but I’m not dead, I’m alive.

The longest time I passed out was two days.”
